About the Disneyland Hotel

Welcome Home!
History
The Disneyland Hotel was opened on October 5, 1955. Ironically it wasn't owned by Disney. It was owned and operated by Jack Wrather under an agreement with Walt Disney. It wasn't until 1988 that Disney acquired it. In 1999 the hotel downsized to its current size. Starting in 2009 and ending in 2012 it went through major renovation. The entire hotel was redesigned and updated with new windows, carpeting, and decor. The Never Land Pool also was redesigned as the 'D'-Ticket Pool, with a replica of the original Disneyland sign and a replica of the Monorail featured on top of the water slides.

View from the Wonder Tower.
One of the great things about staying at the Disneyland Hotel is the views and easy access to the park. The picture above was taken from a room in the Wonder Tower. At night time you can easily see the fireworks from the room! When booking your stay make sure you specify if you want to stay in a room that has views. It's well worth the extra cost.

Many updates within the hotel have their own unique 'Disney touches'. The beds, for an example, feature a headboard that depicts the fireworks over the castle. Also music plays too if you desire it. It's very magical.

Here are the toiletries you receive in the bathroom. Even they have a Mickey Mouse theme to them.

Check out the lamps too! Very Disney.
