Tomorrowland is one of the original lands of Disneyland. It ended up being the last land to be built before the park opening and because of budget cuts many attractions were not open. It ended up being more of a corporate showcase land than anything else. Because of this it was not a favorite land by no means. In 1967 the complete area was rebuilt with new attractions and scenery.

In 1977 Space Mountain was opened. It is considered to be the most popular attraction of Tomorrowland along with Star Tours, a ride based of the blockbuster movie saga Star Wars. Tomorrowland was closed and reopened in 1988 after major renovation. It has since gone through many updates with most attractions being renovated completely and/or having major updates. Today Tomorrowland is one of the more popular lands of Disneyland and achieved that by going through all the major renovations it did for over 50 years.
